The Sozzled Mumble

Im getting quite excited by my wedding.

We've decided on next winter and have it back home in Northern Ireland. The fella's getting quite anxious as I keep coming up with cool ideas like hiring a snow machine and having reindeer at the reception! We could hire a juggler but my brother's pretty good at that sort of thing - he can juggle fire and things so it might be nice to have him do it.

I've surprised myself a bit here as I've never been the type of girl who has been dreaming of my wedding day since I was wee etc etc. But I do like to organise things. Most of the wedding mags are £5+ - what a total rip off - so I've picked up one today for £2.99 and is packed with lots of good stuff.

Now, do I buy a Nintendo DS or not?? Im still to pay for Barcelona but my brain does need to train............I would really quite like one. Argos does one for £99 + 2 free games and the game shops are selling them for a little more + 1 free game. I think I'll probably bloody well get one. Gah!

Just got back from my sisters wedding and it went all very smoothly. No hysterics or anything. There was some sort of mishap with the bus that was supposed to pick up some of the guests and run them over to the church....but it was just running late. Oh it was lovely puts me in the mood to get married as soon as poss......next winter maybe.....

In other news, i've run out of space for my pics so looks like i'll have to 'go pro' as they say in blog-land. I've only got about half a dozen pics on here and I've still got monkey pics and elephant pics (not to mention nou camp pics) from barca to entertain you all with. Might do that on my day off.

Oh I am tired

I love the Meerkat. They are the reason why I like to go to the zoo. The elephant, lion, penguins etc are great but I just love these little mammels. What I find interesting is that they still behave as if they are in the wild - one keeps sentry duty even though there is no chance of a predator attacking.

These are from the Barcelona Zoo (Parc Zoologic) I'd never seen a baby Meerkat until I came here....so this pic is one of my favs.

The photo place wont have my pics ready until Thursday! What happened to within the hour or next day?? So I have to blog some of the fellas pics.

We went to the Dali Museum (which is well worth a look - *tip* when you get to the red heavy sumptuous curtains - step through them) The man was quite obsessed with the 'lady garden'

It was hard to get a decent pic because the ceilings were low and the lights bounced off of every surface. This one was one of the less bizarre ones!

We went to see Dali (and the Sagrada Familia) on Saturday 8 Sept which.....trumpets please.....toot toot, brrr, toot or something....is also the day I got engaged.

Bloody Nora, didn't see that one coming. The fella always said that we should really buy a house first before we even think about marriage so I reckoned it was probably going to be another year. So, I almost turned to stone when he asked me.

We started the night at a restaurant called 'Eden' across the way and I got spag bol (which wasn't great) and tiramisu (which was f*cking excellent) and whisky......too much whisky as it would turn out later. Then, back to the hotel for drink on the rooftop terrace 'chill-out' area overlooking Barca, then he got on his knee. Whoop-eeee!! Then, I threw up my whisky and lemonades (and spag bol) Ah, the romance.

My ring is sparkly and shiny. And at the jewellers getting re-sized as my fingers are titchy. Another *tip* do not get spirits in Barcelona, they have no concept of measures.

Returned from the Barcelona. Ah, it was lovely.

Here are some grumpy looking octopuses that we saw at the aquarium - where aparently "If you haven't been here, you haven't been to Barcelona" - well it was crap. The marketing team of Barcelona should focus their attention to the multitude of other great things in Barca than this over-priced tank of fish.

Its all changed again?? Im going all fuzzy....and googly

Hoo-ray for holiday tomorrow. Have to get up at 3am and I bet I wont be able to sleep tonight either. Everythings packed though apart from some stuff drying in the ......er..... drier......obviously.

Think I'm going to miss blogging for a whole week. Not sure if that's a bit sad of me as I'm off for wild adventures, meeting lots of interesting people and all that good stuff but, in the short space of time Ive been doing this, I've grown fond of all you other bloggers and I think I'll miss what you are all getting up to in the week that Im away.

Not long now until my first holiday in about 4 years. How has that time gone by so quickly??

Bit hacked off in work today - I dont have the type of job which requires a lot of typing but some-one kept typing heavily all day and the clickity click of the keys was started to really grate on me. If you're going to type have the damn decency to do it quietly.

A few people moved out over the weekend. A couple and that beautiful black man that lives (lived) in the corner . Some-one new has moved in across the way though - can't work out if its a couple or just a girl on her own. It's early days so will have a better idea later. I've resisted the urge to blog the comings and goings of my neighbours but I think the fella's getting fed up with every new development so I think the blogs the best place for my observations.

I am a very nosey b*stard. But I like it.
