Ah what a week its been already.
There we were working furiously hard in work, as usual ha!, when we took an innocent glance out the window and saw a woman chatting on her mobile. Not that unusual of course except she was on top of an NCP carpark teetering on the edge!! We had a potential jumper on our hands. The good samaritans we are, we called the police who took a while to respond. It was one of those days that was freezing and extremely windy - what happened to make her go up there? Curiousity got the better of everyone in every corner of the office and we all had to go gawp at this poor woman - yes, I'm ashamed to say, that included me. ![]()
Two police cars, a police van and an ambulance turned up - they managed to coax her down but she'd been up there until about 9pm - 4 hours after we spotted her.
I survived the great earthquake of 2008! Although my picture frame didn't. It was interesting hearing what people's first thoughts were when it was happening - things like 'a terrorist attack' ; 'slates falling off the roof' - me, I thought some-one was in our wardrobe rattling it.

I thought the earthquake was my neighbour's washing machine on the spin cycle. Thinking back it would be bit strange for him to be doing washing in the middle of the night, at the time is was not so illogical!
