Brighton this weekend to see one of my good friends and her expanding baby bulge. I'm quite excited and hope I don't end up crying like a wimp when I see her.
I don't know what to buy her though. I think I should take her a little something - maybe a baby bib, helium balloon, a bunch of bananas, a flask of tea???? I don't think she'll want anything however as the last time we spoke she was getting a little...how should I put this.....annoyed overwhelmed with the baby-bits-and-pieces-buying from both grannies-to-be. My excellent presence may be all that is needed. Ahem. 
(The beard is still here - apparently there will be a 'beard-off' in work tomorrow 
and after he looses that, the offensive bristles are coming OFF)
