What a palaver!
Woke up with cramps...again...my body is slowly giving up....and thought I wouldn't be able to make my dress fitting. I mean who really wants to try on a beautiful garment - the garment I'll be saying vows in - when you feel like you've got a coal-fire burning away in your inside-under-crackers??? Popped a couple of pills hoping they would kick in on time so that I could enjoy the experience. Quick shower and shave (legs, can't let my dress fitter see my hairy beast legs now can I) and by the time my hair was dried (the hair on my head that is
) the cramps had subsided. Ah, relief.
So, feeling all pleased and pain-free I sauntered out my front door to see the tram whizz past 4 mins early. Christ. This was the last tram I could have caught to arrive at my appointment bang on time. Rather than wait 10 mins for another one I decided that there was nothing else for it but to get in my car and drive instead. I frantically got in my Ka turning on the ignition, wrestled with the hand-break as the fella has a tendency to pull it so far up that it's near impossible to loosen the thing, reversed a little until I realised I hadn't put my new tax disc in. Gah.
So I had to pull back up again, undo my seat-belt, get out and run back to the house to fetch it (which has gone up £15 from last year). By this time I knew I was going to be 20mins late for my appointment and thought it was only polite to phone to say sorry. Back in the drivers seat, tax disc firmly placed, pulling out of my parking space I see another tram trundling past.
Oh, well at least the car is nice and safe and warm. Had to park in town as there were no parking spaces near the shop and ended up catching the tram anyway for 2 stops. Got there (15 mins late) with jeans falling down past my buttocks because I couldn't find my belt and, sweating like a pregnant nun, I was ready and raring to get dressed in white.
And it was worth it.
Can't say too much as the fella knows about my blog (although I did let slip that I had straps - pissed off about that) but it fits perfectly and only needs a couple of minor alterations. EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
