This month is 'cheap month.'
Because I don't have any children to worry about I tend to spend money as if I'm an heiress. I reason that, due to my childless status - which could change within the next couple of years - I can spend my money willfully and freely like I'm a student with my first grant installment. I may as well get it out of the way before the rug-rats decide to make an appearance.
The last few months I have been quite happily spending but, now that the fellas 30th is out of the way I think I should stop for a couple of months at least and see if I can live on a budget. (I never lived on a budget when I was a student, so gawd knows how this will turn out). So, I have allocated £10 a week for essentials like choco and tram tickets and magazines. And that is it. I have had to stop going on the Topshop website and I immediately delete the emails I receive from Asos.com. Believe me, that has been hard. ![]()
My week started on Tuesday with £14 in my pocket and I am happy to report that I have £3.21 left to do me until Tuesday. So, I've spent (just a little) over my allocated £10 for the week. I even resisted an evening out last night with friends. This is going well. Although, I still have to get my haircut for a wedding on the 1st Aug - I could always get one of their trainees to wreck do it.
As long as I don't socialize I think I may just achieve my goal.
Am off, there is a mini profiterole with my name on it.
