Still on the Paris thing here.
Another cool thing I witnessed is their equivalent of buskers. You know how they usually stand outside of WH Smiths or in the depths of the tube strumming their guitar for a few coins? Well, on Sunday we got the underground into the centre and I could hear some accordion/trumpet music in the distance which kept playing between stops.
I thought it may have been some-one's i-pod set to a brazen level but no, it was a real live accordion/trumpet playing duo making their way down the length of the train hustling for a bit of cash. It was excellent. However, whilst I beamed with touristic glee, the rest of the local passengers had faces like fizz.
ps - went all the way to Paris and avoided all local cuisine. What did we do for lunch today? Went to a French restaurant and had French food.
