Slight melt down there. Just finished reading Anybody Out There by Marian Keyes. Decided there were too many parallels between the main character and myself and so my old anxious demeanor (which has never really been old, it's always been there, parrot-like on me shoulder) came out to wreck the havoc.
Here be the parallel evidence.
We are both short. Both Irish (well, she's southern, and yes there IS a difference). Both share the same first letter in our names as our partner ie the character was called Anna and her fella was called Aiden. Both have mothers that say crazy things. Both live in another country to the one we were born in. Both live in a city. Both have a friend who has given birth. Both enjoy our jobs (admitedly, the slight difference between she and me is that she gets payed shit-loads, and I erm.....don't....). She works in New York and I am *thinking* about going to NY. She is/was so madly in love with her fella it's sickening....and so am I.....not with her fella, er.. with mine....
Anyway, brief synopsis is that this Anna's husband, Aiden, with whom she has only been briefly married, DIES!!! They are both so incredibly in love that you can't quite believe that Marian Keyes would do this....but she does. So, I decided, that all these parallels are just too weird for reason and that my fella would kick-it any time soon. Friday to be precise. Well, he's still here so this all makes me
- box of frogs.
So, vowed NEVER to read one of her books again. What have I done all morning? Clue: now on page 240 of The Other Side Of The Story by Marian Keyes.
Expect another morose blog entry in the early hours of next weekend then.

I LOVE Marian Keyes. The bit about the feathery touchers made me cry with laughter...............
