Just cried down the phone at me da. 
I hate doing that. He phoned because he was at the registrar. Apparently the piece of paper that you need to get married with, only myself or the groom can pick it up. This would be fine as I am going home at the end of October BUT they can't release it until 17th November?? Pointless.
So, the lady registrar (who was really lovely despite the hideous news she had to tell me) tried to explain to me that it was the law etc etc but I had already switched off at the 'you can't get married without it' phrase. Handing the phone back to my da I whined. I am 31.
Looks as if we have to get an earlier boat over which means traveling through the night to get up to Stranraer. 
Booked my hair trial and make-up trial and added my flower girls basket to the list of flowers we ordered. (The electric blew this morning and I had nothing else to do besides ring people). At least this is done.
