  • Halloween Night Whoop-ee-doo

    Final night of Most Haunted.

Not sure I'm right enjoying it anymore. Eastenders has been brilliant lately. Am loving the whodunnit. Hopefully it'll be Bradders in the frame. Apparently they are filming prison scenes now so I hope that means Max comes round and is well enough to say who it was.

Annoyed. The fella's gone to bed early and I'm left blogging about soaps.

  • Bits & Pieces

    Snotty nose all day.

I will have a sore back tomorrow from all the sneezing. Brother-in-law pissing me off. Work boring as moses. No interview invites. Most Haunted still on and starts proper in 5 mins. Cramps. Hot water bottle. Have to take some pain killers in a sec. Have just accused the fella of playing with his willy as his fingers smell. He denies it. He had been cleaning the fridge of some spilt milk that had been laying there for ages. Hence the smell. No tram conductor this morning so got a free ride. Friends booked their flights for the saturday before wedding. So will be running up and down to the airport for most of the day.

    I think that's it.

  • Sore Throat

    Sore throat.

    I'm blaming Dolly..er...I mean the fella :))

We are watching the Arsenal vs Tottenham darby/derby - is its derby or darby? It's spoken as darby but spelt derby? Is that an English thing? Anyway, it's on. And it's boring. The fella is wrapped up in the duvet coughing and wondering why the women in his work kept mentioning 'man flu' when he complained of being ill. He doesn't even know what it means.

Nothing happened in work today. It was so boring I'm not surprised they want to get rid of us all.

Told the Help people about the spam I've been having. Looks as if loads of people are getting it and it should be sorted out by tomorrow apparently. Wondering how Usky is...........

  • Tuesday - I Hardly Ever Blog On A Tuesday

    Our last redundancy meeting today.

And the managers haven't made up their minds so rather than finding out on Thursday what will happen to my immediate future, we now have to wait until Tuesday. :##

There is not much else I can say about that.

Remembered something today that made me laugh when I visited home over the weekend. When my da was taking pictures of my nephew he kept calling him Bobby. Bobby is my brothers dog. :)) I think he might be getting slightly

AND I keep getting spam bollocks on one of my posts. >:-(

  • Almost There

    Fella's stag do is over.

And he's so hung over I find it lovely and amusing. His brother made him wear a Dolly Parton outfit :??: all night round the pubs so he says he now knows how it feels to be a woman and to be leered at all the time. :)) I think people kept grabbing his boobs everywhere he went.

But he is alive and, although they did go to a gentleman's club, I am feeling ok about the whole thing.

So now we're full steam ahead for the wedding. Bits and pieces to sort out like seat covers and prezzies to do but I can now start getting excited about it. Yiiippppeee!!! :D

  • Hair & Make-up Done

    Hair and make-up trial DONE!

Wasn't too sure about the make-up as I don't wear loads but it grew on me after half an hour. Hair is all tousled curls. V, v, nice and exactly how I'd imagined it to be. Flower girl has got her dress and wee shoes this morning so we are all pretty much set.

Met my nephew last night. My sis came over as a surprise. He has lots of smiles for me and not many for anyone else. :b

(Trying not to worry too much about the stag do tonight :-/ - hope it all goes ok)

  • Penis Extraction With A Rusty Bread Knife

    Got excited there.

Midsomer Murders is on and it's the first part of 2. Usually on a Thursday it's the 2nd part of the day before's which means I'll get to see the whole thing. Unfortunately I've already seen this one :( but am going to watch it again anyway as it's raining and it's put me in a cosy mood. I think the woman did it - why's it ALWAYS the woman???

Flying home tomorrow night for my hair and make-up trial on Saturday. Not really looking forward to it. Probably because the fella is having his stag do on that night. I've left instructions with one of his best mates to make sure that he doesn't get into a fight/gets stabbed/falls into the river don and drowns and we find his rotting corpse 3 days later - you know, that kind of thing.

Mmmmmm, I said it was ok if he went to one of them 'gentlemen's clubs' but he's not really bothered so he says because he's already been twice before on stag do's and like he says, 'You've seen one boob, you've seen 'em all'.

I'm not totally overwhelmed with joy at the thought of it but I think it's a better idea to be not bothered about it rather than scream my head off, forbid him to go, and threaten him with a penis extraction with a rusty bread knife. And then have him promise he won't go but then go anyway behind my back. So I'm being all 90's woman in the noughties!!

Hopefully my laissez faire approach will make him not want to go........er........won't it????

  • Wednesday Warblings

    Liverpool vs Athletico Madrid tonight.

The reason why I'm not so annoyed by it is because the gorgeous Luis Garcia is playing. Yum. :D

That's all I have to say on the matter.

Well, we still don't know what's going on in work. We had to fill out forms for what our preferences would be, i.e. I don't want to lose my job on the eve of my wedding! So I put down that staying was my first choice (shocker) and moving to another site as my second. Voluntary redundancy isn't an option here. So I am to wait now. Next week we will know.........oh christ.........

Got to meet my friends baby on saturday. He's a wee cheeky chappy, gorgeous and he shat on my other friend. :)) We all laughed especially mum and dad as it's always happening to them!!

  • A Miracle Has Happened

    We have bridesmaid dresses. :>>

I rang Littlewoods and they said that they tried to deliver but couldn't gain access! We live in an apartment block with gates but there are quite clear instructions how to buzz through to the apartment you want. If all the numbered buttons are too taxing for you there is a big red button with reception on it. This is not a complex system. I had one set of dresses delivered by a man who looked about 150 years old and even he managed to work it out. Wisdom does come with age it seems ;)

So I tried to get them to cancel the forthcoming re-delivery on Monday as I won't be there and even if I was the complex system that they couldn't work out on Friday won't have changed!! They can't cancel it as it's now 'in the system' which means they will waste time and petrol on a non-delivery. I won't see my refund for 2 weeks now. Pathetic.

Anyway, back to the news. The girls tried on the Coast dress and it wouldn't fit over the boobs. No problem, we had a purple one, which fit, and I liked but I didn't love so off to the shops. And wouldn't you know it the first shop we went into and we had them bought!! Here be my bridesmaids dresses from Monsoon.

I loves these very much as they tie in with the overall theme and will look great next to my dress.

Then we waltzed off to a gallery where my friend bought a painting and we quaffed champers.

  • More Bridesmaid Crap

    Littlewoods did not deliver.

Tried tracking my order online and it now says 'received at depot' - have sent them an email because if I phone I think I'll blow my stack. I'm already in full Bridezilla mode and I can't let some poor customer service person take the full blast from me when it's their employers that are shit.

I don't think they deliver on weekends so that was a whole waste of time. My bridesmaids live down south and are only up til Sunday. Gaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!

  • WHY IS THIS JERKING ME OFF??

WHERE'S ALL MY FRIENDS AND INFO DOWN THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF ME BLOG???????

Edit - Me widgets have returned!!!!!!!

  • Bridesmaid Dresses Almost Here

    Ah bloody hell.

Bridesmaid dresses turned up this morning delivered by a lovely cheerful old fella. This be the dress from Coast.

It's soooooo pretty in real life and has little attachable straps.

Now, I am waiting for the dresses from Littlewoods. And I am still waiting. I know they have until 6pm to deliver but I read the small print and it says that they can't be held responsible if they don't deliver on the day they said they would. I have a problem with this. Their standard delivery, usually 3-5 working days costs nothing but to get it delivered on a specific day that will cost £3.95.

Now, as I don't work on Fridays I thought it would be better to pay the fee to have it delivered today - so if it doesn't come I shall be very annoyed. I could have went with the free option for all this messing around. >:-( I don't actually see what the £3.95 is for if they don't deliver when they say they will.

However, I am jumping the gun - they still have 2 hours and 32 mins to go.

  • Bridesmaids Are Go

Camera's for the reception tables have arrived.

Bridesmaids are coming over on Friday. One of them has purchased a couple of dresses that fit and look nice so hopefully this means we don't have to go round the shops, although they are on about getting wraps for bingo wings and such like. I hate those bloody things and I think they make you look like you've put on 2 stone. So I'll have to tactfully say that they can't have them but they can settle for a little quarter length sleeve cardy thingy-mi-bob.

So, we are moving in the right direction here. Can't wait to see them actually, baby 2 is coming up as well so I'll get a whole weekend of cuddles from him I am sure. Hope he won't cry....baby 3 didn't....

  • Should We Really Help Each Other Out?

Have applied for a couple of exciting looking jobs.

One's an editorial position that I'm not even sure I will get an interview for but thought I'd give it a go - I have, after all, nothing to lose - seeing as I'm losing my job anyway because of bad decisions made by higher management. >:-(

Now, do I tell work colleagues about this particular job? We were discussing various jobs yesterday and my colleague said something very interesting. She was talking about a job that she was going to apply for and suggested I do the same. (It wasn't something I was particularly interested in) I said that you should look after yourself really and she said, "We should really help each other out."

I'm not into this. And is it wrong of me to think this way? There are 18 people being made redundant - do I really want to go up against all these better qualified people? Am I the only one that thinks this is akin to kicking yourself in the face? Isn't redundancy the time where you MUST think selfishly?? We ALL have council tax, rent, food, electric et al to pay for so this can't be the right time for decorum. Isn't it every man/woman for themselves???

    Am I wrong?

  • Have Cold. Will Try Not To Pass It On.

    Have cold. :`(

Got to have many cuddles with Isobel yesterday. Christ she can trump! We'll make a sailor out of her yet.
She was lovely though. Very good and got a couple of smiles out of her.

Have just finished a Mills and Boon 'novel' - term used VERY lightly - an appalling example of how women should never be. Weak and pathetic always needing a man to sort things out.....much sex!!!!....always blaming themselves when it clearly was the mans fault.....more sex!!!!.....my curiosity has been quashed with this.

Bought 4 new Marian Keyes books - well, I'm going to need something to keep me occupied in my weeks of redundancy!!

  • No Eye Transplant For Me!!

I will not need an NHS eye transplant!

The optician lady, sober this time, had another lookseee at me peepers and the slight infection has gone. Hurrah. So, I can now continue sticking my fingers in my eyes, cursing my blindness and the little bits of hair that somehow gets stuck on the front of the lens resulting in a jagged pain in my cornea.

Shopping with a work colleague today and got a sparkly head band for £1.50 in Primark! Saving me £118.50 on the one I would have liked from my bridal shop. But the cheaper one's just as nice. Can't wear my sexy basque number as you can see it through the dress so had to buy the bra instead today. Nevermind. I can use it for the honeymoon.

I think blanky in the living room weather has arrived. I am bleeding freezing!!!!!!!!!
